Jack Ferguson of the Varina Club received his membership pin for 64 years as a Ruritan on January 13th . The pin was presented by District Governor Tom Watson and congratulated by Varina President Chip Tatum and club members.

Poquoson Ruritan Club made application to the Ruritan National Foundation's "Operation We Care" for a grant for assisting those in need after hurricane Isabel. The Poquoson Club will work through the "Poquoson Recovery Team" to furnish appliances to families who have requested help.

The York Ruritan Club honored one of its own at its January Meeting at the Port Of York. President Richard Russell awarded Charter Member, Bill Jones, a 25 Year Consecutive Perfect Attendance Pin. Bill has been a member of the club since its inception in 1978 and has yet to miss a meeting. Bill is an invaluable member of the York Club having served in many official duties within the club including president.

Ruritan in Action! Summer of 2003, Warwick Ruritan Club and a local church youth group helped to build a ramp for a member of their community in Newport News. He has Lou Gerhigs disease. The Warwick Club headed up the project and some of the clubs in Zone 8 assisted with the expenses. The leader of the youth group was in charge of the construction and shortly after completing the construction became a member of the Warwick Club. The previous ramp is shown in the lower right and the new ramp is shown in the top two photo's.
Aubrey Mitchell spends the day as "Rudy Ruritan" at the King George Fall Festival, October 11th. Club sponsored Cub Scout Pack 191 pictured as well.
King George Ruritan Club's Environmental Committee goes for a ride in the Fall Festival on October 11th. Clay Williams is driving the car. Riding with Clay is his wife, Elsie and fellow club member Ward Taylor.
